Instead of ignoring the problems, try and find out where the vacuum lines are leaking. My vacuum actuator had problems for awhile, and I finally found the leak. It works great now.

For that type of vacuum line the parts stores sell plastic vacuum hose conversion nipples that allow two different sizes of vacuum lines to be connected.
20/7/2003· Mine has the fat hose hooked up to a fitting right underneath where to the carbuerator bolts to the intake manifold.
